Breakfast: Scrambled eggs, pico de gallo, strawberries and a smoothie
If you haven't guessed it by now, I'm big on recycling, re-using, planning ahead, or whatever else you wanna call it. So the pico is left-over from the tacos yesterday. The smoothie was from the freezer from the last time I made it. A pretty easy breakfast.
The original plan was to have some chicken and veggies for lunch, then attend a friend's birthday party in the afternoon that was supposed to be a dessert bar, then go out to dinner for our cheat dinner. We had pre-decided that we could have one dessert at the party, then just not have dessert at dinner. Well....
We weren't that hungry for lunch (more on that later), so we decided to skip it. Then we showed up at the party, and it was kinda more pizzas than desserts. So two pieces of pizza and half a rice krispie treat became a late lunch. But our hearts were still set on the dinner we had planned.
Popeye's Chicken is without a doubt one of my favorite places. Ever. No contest.
So now we're back on the wagon. Eating clean for the rest of the week. We've finally gotten to the point where we're not craving all the things were missing. And we're not so hungry all the time. Food actually fills us up. We ate breakfast today around 8AM, and weren't even remotely hungry until about 1:45PM when we were starting to get ready to leave for the party. We feel great. And the cheating definitely made us feel sick (totally worth it though!).
I'm not going to post the meal plan for this week, because I have yet to figure out how to format it on the blog so that it shows up neatly. I'll leave you with this fun shot instead:
